So I posted a link to the comic challenge on Greg's forums in hopes that it would spur some artists who read his site to join in the fun, Greg said he might do it one day, but isn't sure, that's not the point though. I use Photoshop to do my text, it's not because I don't know better. I used to yell at people in classes for hours on end about using Text from Photoshop. The big problems I see with it is that it takes up too much time and hastle, on top of that, this picture isn't really all that big, adding in the vector and then going to raster really doesn't change the strip all that much, so I just don't see why I should bother when I can just sharpen the text. I don't really see any problem with it, you can even make out the 8pt text in that 4th pannel without any problems.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Deans, I even went to one of the ComiCons in SanFran and heard Greg's forum about using Illustrator. It was pretty great and I had a lot of fun there, I even bought some old Alpha Strike comics that I didn't have yet (Go Canadia!). Perhaps one day if I get a lot of extra time I will go for it, but I just don't see me doing it any time in the near future, it's just not worth it for a comic like mine. Perhaps if some of my E-Mail from the strip wasn't selling me viagra I might be more inclined.
